Retirement Portfolio | Retirement Investment | RRSP INDEX
Retirement Portfolio building can begin at any age. I started my retirement investment or RRSP as my fellow Canadians refer to it, quite a few years ago. My plan it to build up a significant amount of dividend and covered call income in my retirement portfolio for when I retire.
Retirement portfolio building takes years and at the start I used a financial services firm which basically took a annual administration fee and left me with some stunning losses. Overall when I started I had about $200,000.00 in stocks. When I ended my relationship with them, they had lost about $50,000 of my retirement portfolio and I had paid them considerable amounts in admin fees.
I decided to go to cash because it was so difficult to get everything moved to a discount brokerage. My bonds and GICS were easy to move but they made it tough for me to move my stocks. They were so badly beaten up I decided to just turn them into cash and get away from the financial planners for good. Now I am responsible for my own retirement portfolio and so far I am loving it.
On this page I will keep up to date my retirement portfolio and how well it is performing.
This is my present retirement portfolio or retirement investment account. Again, in Canada it is referred to as RRSP.
